Les Garennes

An exceptional place

Full of history…

Built in 1890 in a 55-hectare English-style park, 22 of which are wooded, Château Les Garennes was once owned by the Mauduit du Plessix family. This neoclassical building served as a kommandantur for the German army between June and November 1940.

The château was home to a number of Second World War heroes, including French naval officer Honoré d’Estienne d’Orves in 1944.
Completely renovated in 2020, the château is now a charming hotel dedicated to well-being, surrounded by a park classified as a Remarkable Garden.

Comprising 15 spacious, tastefully decorated rooms, the château is a true living space, dedicated to relaxation and events.
